WODONGA farm Bunyip Hollow will celebrate sustainability when it opens its new farmgate shop in November.
After an epic battle with Wodonga Council last year, Bunyip Hollow gained approval for a small farmgate shop but no home on the urban farm.
Bunyip Hollow co-owner Cyan von Gija said though their plans were compromised, the farmgate shop would still serve its purpose.
"We'll offer native produce, fresh vegetables, pickles, oils and the like," he said.
It will be officially opened on Saturday, and thereafter on Sundays.
As part of the open day from 10am to 2pm, Bunyip Hollow will offer a farm tour and sustainable feast lunch.
Lunch will feature farm-grown produce, showcasing sustainability.
Senator Janet Rice (Senator for Victoria) will officially open the Bunyip Hollow farmgate shop at 11.30am.
It is part of the Albury-Wodonga Sustainable Living Festival.
The Bunyip Hollow farmgate shop will be open to the public on Sundays from 8am to 2pm or by appointment.
