Chasing 8-190 for victory, the home team needed 11 runs off the final over with Darren Howard and Lachie Lane falling just short against the bowling of Michael Oates.
The damage was done in the previous over when star Walbundrie all-rounder Alex McMaster conceded only two runs.
"It was another good win," skipper Mason Collins said.
"190 was an awesome score, but Osborne's a good batting side and it went down to the wire.
"If Harry Perryman had kept batting they probably would have got over the line as he was smacking us about a bit."
Perryman fell for 32 when Andrew Lewis had him caught on the deep square leg boundary by energetic youngster Jack Kotzur.
Tom Howard topscored for Osborne with 62 while Ryan Collins chipped in with 23.
Walbundrie's score was based around a fine 66 not out from Jarrod Miller who was batting for the first time since last season's grand final against Rand.
His knock included 14 off the final over the innings.
"It was good to have him back in the side," Collins said.
"He's an important player for us."
Rand overcame a superb century from Norm Barlow to defeat Culcairn by six wickets.
Barlow made 100 not out in a score of 7-173 but it wasn't enough to stop Clint Ralston (71 not out), Brayden Ralston (26) and Brayden Lieschke (29 not out) from reeling in the total.
Clint Ralston was the stand-out for the Pigeons, taking 3-18 off seven overs earlier in the day.
Walla scored an important four-wicket win over Henty.
The Swampies struggled their way to 129 thanks to some late hitting from James Ellis who made 35 not out but it was never going to be enough unless they claimed early wickets.
Alex Paech and Nate Kohlhagen put on 30 for the opening partnership before Chris Hutchinson and Mark Taylor provided support in the middle order.
Youngster Nick Newton was the pick of the Henty bowlers, taking 2-20.
Brock-Burrum caused the upset of the round by defeating Holbrook by 59 runs.
The Saints were put on the road to victory by Adam I'Anson who bludgeoned 90 runs off 97 balls.
Trent I'Anson was also damaging making 62.
Holbrook lost early wickets in the chase with skipper Hamish Mackinlay (73) and Lewis Bowen (39) leading a fightback with a 105-run partnership.
But Mackinlay's dismissal triggered a collapse with the Brookers losing their last eight wickets for 65 runs.
TRYC's Aiden Ridley scored a ton in his side's win over Lockhart.
