He's expected to be sidelined for up to eight weeks, returning to NBL action in early January.
New Zealand international Pledger has been dealing with a right ankle issue which has limited his flexibility and power when pushing off his right leg.
It has also limited the 32-year-old's ability to train, with medical staff managing his workload.
A recent MRI showed a bone spur that could only be resolved with surgery, with Pledger going under the knife on Monday.
