Souquet suffered the injury last week after being dislodged behind the barriers at Tatura trials.
The talented hoop will be forced to miss his hometown cup at Wodonga next Friday.

He was likely to partner the Craig Widdison trained Ruby Skye in the $100,000 feature.
"I had one tip me off at the Tatura trials and I just landed awkwardly," Souquet said.
"I didn't realise immediately that I had actually fractured my scaphoid.
"I rode in the next trial and my wrist blew right up and it was then I knew I was in a bit of trouble.
"I had scans which revealed I had fractured my scaphoid as well as the bone next to it.
"The best case scenario is six weeks on the sidelines with eight weeks the worst.
"It's disappointing to miss the cup but injuries are a part of racing and you just cop it on the chin and move on."
