The annual Mayor's Charity Golf Day at Commercial Golf Resort Albury aims to raise about $5000 for Country Hope, which provides family-centred programs for country children diagnosed with cancer and other chronic life-threatening illnesses.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Albury West for 35 years, the day has assisted other charities including Lifeline, headspace and Give Me 5 For Kids over its history.

Event co-ordinator Terry Hudson said the golf day began in the 1980s as an individual stroke event, but was now a four ball ambrose.
"We felt we needed to change it into a sort of novelty-type day where serious golfers and hackers can all have a go," he said.
A number of businesses enter teams each year, with more than 50 golfers signed up so far.
"That is not unusual, we tend to get a bit of a swamp towards the last couple of days," Mr Hudson said.
"We'd be looking for around 80 players."
The day begins with lunch at 11.30am. To enter, call Mr Hudson on 0412731331.
