The car park is attached to the Co-Store shopping centre, which has put in an application to Wangaratta Council to construct another entry ramp.
Cars currently drive in via a ramp on Victory Parade, which is a narrow street with little traffic.
In a letter to the council, Co-Store manager Ben Frazer said a second ramp would allow cars to enter from the busier Ovens Street, near the Reject Shop.
"Currently we receive feedback that the current access point can be difficult to navigate as a sharp bend forms part of the current entrance," he said.
"This proposed location allows for a straight graded entrance which will be easier for drivers to navigate.
"We expect a significant increase in the usage of the car park as well as an increased public perception of the ease of access car park."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The estimated cost of building a second ramp was $250,000.
At 3pm on Tuesday, The Border Mail observed there were 66 cars in the lower level of the car park, 14 cars on the second level and the rooftop was closed.
There are a total of 365 spaces across all levels.
Motorists have to pay to use the car park.
The council has yet to make a decision on the second entry ramp.
