The dog sustained fatal injuries after it was stabbed by an unknown man about 6pm on Monday, November 11.
Police investigators had been told a dark blue Subaru Forrester Dark with black mag wheels, black roof racks and a loud sports exhaust stopped outside the Tunnel Gap Road property.
The man, described as tall with a thin build and wearing a black hoodie and black tracksuits pants, got out of the front passenger side of the car and approached the dog, which was in the house's front yard.
