Northside Hotel on Union Road has operated the Bottlemart across the road, on the corner of Waugh Road, for years but last month the roller doors went down.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Northside owner Daniel Burke was given opportunity by The Border Mail to comment on what the reason was for the closure, but he declined.
Hand written signs are taped to the roller doors of the drive-through and are the only indication the business isn't operating. "Due to unknown circumstances we are currently closed 'til further notice," the sign says.
The Border Mail has not been able to confirm when, or if, the bottle shop will re-open.
