Officers from both sides of the Border attended a ceremony in Albury on Thursday.
Detectives were recognised for Operation Bleach, which formed in June and led to the arrests of James Strauss, Nathan Sullivan, and Kevin Kennedy.
The trio were allegedly involved in car-jackings, an attempted ATM theft, car ramming and other offences in Albury, Wodonga and Wagga.

An officer was also recognised for saving a woman from Lake Mulwala, while drug squad officers were praised for their work on multiple investigations.
Albury Acting Superintendent Andrew Spliet said Thursday's ceremony was well attended.
"The police are out there doing their job on a daily basis, providing a service to the community," he said.
"It's important we recognise these members publically and the good work they do."
Police also received long service medals.
