Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund member John Watson said the change had been made by Albury Council owing to a double booking of the original location.
"The last-minute change is unfortunate but the small and hard-working team at the Trust have taken it in their stride and the message has gone out to walkers, vendors and other stakeholders," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The upside of the move is that there is better parking at Noreuil Park and plenty of shade on-site."
The change will not greatly affect the routes, with the family fun day also to be held at Noreuil Park.
Mr Watson said more than 800 walkers had registered for the event which was expected to exceed its $100,000 fundraising target.
Registrations open at 7am for the 20km Sunshine Walk and 9am for the 5km walk.
