Keen has already steered the Magpies to back-to-back premierships, including the club's first ever A-grade flag in 2018.
"To win one premiership takes a lot of work, to win back-to-back even more, to go for a third will be quite difficult as all nine other clubs will be looking to beat us," Keen said.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"It will be another opportunity for the group to continue to build on the work they have put in over the past two years, and we will see what happens.
"Obviously you always strive for success and it may have been part of the decision, but success isn't always measured in premierships.
"I think as a coach the development of the players and the determination they have shown to be better each time they step on the court has been most rewarding."
It will mark Keen's fourth season at the helm.
