Mountain Fresh Trout and Salmon Farm includes about 30 ponds and licensed species such as rainbow trout, Atlantic salmon, golden trout, brown trout, brook trout and tiger/cheetah trout.
Measuring 7.4 hectares and including a four-bedroom home, the farm began in 1971 and has been owned by the Hall family for a decade.
Dickens Real Estate, Bright, director Gerard Gray said the property was set up well for a new owner, but also offered expansion options.
"Probably the real opportunity lies in capitalising on the tourism market, the rail trail from Harrietville finishes at their front gate," he said.
"Considering a lot of the infrastructure's already been brought up to a beautiful standard, that further growth opportunity really probably comes in capitalising on the bums on seats side of things."

With expressions of interest closing on December 6, inquiries had been received from parties within Australia and overseas.
"Other people within the aquaculture industry, farmers downsizing, people in the food industry out of Melbourne, so it's been really broad and varied," Mr Gray said.
"It's a really well-known property throughout the industry."
In recent land auction results Paull & Scollard Landmark's Roger Bramley said Kellers, a 131.17 hectares property at Tawonga sold for $1.452 million on Thursday while Tallangatta Valley's Colynda Vale, which measured 39.56 hectares, sold Friday for $820,000, both going to local buyers.
Margot Pitzen, of Landmark Harcourts Holbrook, said Elmarno, north of Holbrook on 70.44 hectares, was passed in but negotiations were continuing Friday afternoon.
Eastmore, a 245.35 hectare allotment at Mitta was passed in at $1.45 million and Brian Unthank Real Estate's Tom Hanrahan said it was under negotiation after Friday's auction.
Elders Albury's Reg Coulston said a 10.72 hectare industrial site on Boundary Road, Thurgoona, was passed in on a vendor bid of $2.6 million, with discussions continuing with several parties.
