WORKING TOGETHER: B&H Homes new homes consultant John Dempsey (left) is pleased to be working with Westpac home finance manager Paul Gow to help provide advice for potential home buyers.

B&H Homes will this weekend partner with Westpac to simplify the world of home loans and grant eligibility by providing a free one-on-one consultancy.

Obtaining finance can often be an anxious first step when beginning the pathway to building, or buying an existing home.

Quality finance advice early in the discovery phase helps simplify the preliminary building stages.

New homes consultant at B&H Homes, John Dempsey, said the right advice establishes a rewarding building journey.

"That's the purpose of this weekend," Mr Dempsey said. "It will be straight-forward, home finance advice by an industry expert with a wealth of experience.

"We're very fortunate to have Paul Gow, Westpac's home finance manager, on location at our display home this weekend to provide no obligation, one-on-one consultancy. So many couples are too time poor to co-ordinate their schedules for these important preliminary finance conversations during the working week. It's a good opportunity to get the ball rolling before the big guy in the red suit turns up."

Operating from a room at the Killara Views display home, Mr Gow will guide individual parties through loan assessment, explore borrowing capacity, discuss savings plans, offer strategies to reduce debt to increase loan limits and investigate government incentives.

"We have designed this finance weekend for convenience, as a one-stop shop to efficiently answer all questions," Mr Dempsey said.

"It's suited for anyone exploring the home market as a buyer - be it their first home or their fifth - or investor.

"It is for those interested in understanding their ability to borrow. Questions such as how much can we borrow against our existing home to bridge the purchase of a block? Am I eligible for stamp duty exemptions? Can I obtain finance with only 5 per cent deposit?

"It will help to learn solutions and strategies to reach loan goals. Every person's scenario is different and should be uniquely assessed.

"With home loan interest rates at record lows and attractive government incentives, it's a good time to explore the possibilities.

"We come across so many people pleasantly surprised how comfortably they can attain B&H home"

Paul Gow will be available on Saturday and Sunday, from 1pm to 5pm, at B&H Homes' Killara Views display home, 690 Shaw Street, Springdale Heights.
