The Corowa export stepped away from the European Tour at the end of 2018 and has played predominantly on Australian shores this year.
Fraser will contest the NSW Open, starting on Thursday at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club, before flying to Japan on Sunday night for the final phase of qualifying for a tour card.
Around 200 will contest the six-day event, with the top-30 earning tour status.

"It's a bit of a marathon week, but I feel like my game as turned a corner in the last couple of months and is in good shape going up there," Fraser said.
"A full schedule up there is only 20 weeks and they don't start up until early April and go through till about now.
"You get a good four months off from the travel, but it's all in the same time zone and it's only a nine-hour direct flight."
Fraser is currently 14th on the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit, having earned $40,552.13.
