The car used in the theft of two pressure washers valued at $3000 had been used during other break-ins in Victoria.
But Kim Murray Clark, 37, has only just fronted Albury Local Court over the theft from Spitwater Pressure Washers' outlet in Wagga Road in 2013.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Clark, of Adelaide, won't be sentenced until early next year after magistrate Rodney Brender ordered the preparation of a sentence assessment report.
He also allowed the suspension of bail reporting conditions for Clark so he could take-up mining work at Balranald in December.
Clark pleaded guilty to a single charge of break, enter and steal.
The court was told that Clark drove to the business on April 4, 2013, about 7.30am.
He reversed his Toyota Corolla to within about one metre of the front door, which he forced open.
This caused the security alarm to sound though that didn't deter Clark, who loaded an $1150 pressure washer and then a model selling for $1850 from the front of the store into his car.
Someone saw him and yelled out: "What are you doing mate?"
This startled Clark, who quickly got into his car and drove off down McDonald Road.
The car was found in Altona on April 19, 2013.
Three months later, detectives with the Maribyrnong criminal investigation unit traveled to Albury with a photo board that in turn helped them to identify Clark.
He was already in custody at the time for similar offences.
Mr Brender extended bail for Clark to re-appear for sentencing in Albury on January 15.
