Fry started the meeting on a high after winning aboard La Zola which justified her short quote of $1.65 with an easy victory.
The three-year-old filly broke through for her first victory in the $35,000 3YO Maiden, (1200m) for Cranbourne based trainer Cindy Alderson.

Fry was back in the winners circle after race four, winning aboard One Hellofa Family in the $35,000 Benchmark 64 Hcp, (2050m).

Fry captured his first Wodonga Cup victory when he combined with local trainer Craig Widdison to win aboard Willi Willi.
The in-form hoop burst through a gap aboard Willi Willi at the top of the straight and was able to overhaul Spunlago in the shadows of the post.
