The Flying Fruit Fly Circus is going back to its roots for a special milestone. To celebrate 40 years of the circus, the Borderville Circus Festival will feature shows and workshops this weekend, all focused around the Circus Big Top in Hovell Tree Park in South Albury. It is the same location as the first performance of the circus in the summer of 1979. Created by Flying Fruit Fly Circus artistic director Anni Davey, Back in the Big Top will involve the circus' 79 students, aged 8 to 19. There will be documentaries, exhibits and street art shown around town.
