Whitehead, who recently took out the World Singles Champion of Champions in Adelaide, won the national title back in 2017 and has been drawn in section one for the event.
The Wodonga bowler takes on the in-form Chloe Stewart (Tweed Heads) in her opening game, who is fresh off victories with Australia in the Trans Tasman Series and Multi-Nations Invitational on the Gold Coast.
Stewart also featured in the Tweed Heads Ospreys lineup which captured its maiden Bowls Premier League title last month.

She meets Darwin's Colleen Orr in her second match, before rounding out sectional play against South Australian Melissa Morrow.
Whitehead is in good form after winning her section with Yackandandah's Mary Tragardh in the state pairs at Corowa Civic at the weekend.
The duo will meet the winner of the clash between Peta Mattys and Jodie Fruend (Wangaratta) and Deb Crothers and Heather Schliebs (Kiewa) in the semi-finals on Sunday.
In further news, Walla duo Mick Heir and Cameron Odewahn captured the Albury and District under-50s pairs at Walla on Sunday.
The home side defeated Lavington's David Warford and Josh Tootell, 22-11.
Lavington's Bill Pantling recently competed at the NSW Rookie Singles finals at Raymond Terrace and finished second in his section, losing to eventual champion Wayne Van Maastricht.
