Albury's Lachie Tiziani left on Thursday for a month-long holiday in the US, but will undergo a final session on his right knee at the Australian Institute of Sport on his return.

"I've got one more thing to tick off, I should be right to go, I'm doing nearly full training at the moment," he said.

Tiziani played two senior games with the Tigers prior to being drafted by GWS with pick number 54 in the 2016 Draft.

He struggled with injuries in his first year, playing 12 games in the NEAFL as an athletic half-forward.

And the bad run continued when he suffered a serious knee injury in the early rounds of 2018 and was later delisted.

He hasn't played since.

"I did more than the ACL, if it was just that I would have been back in nine to 12 months," he said.

"It's definitely been frustrating, I watched Albury play this year and didn't really train either.

"It was my life basically, playing footy, so it sort of sucks, I really can't wait to hopefully get back out there next year.

League followers will be hoping the 22-year-old receives positive news as he deserves a break after the horror injury.

Tiziani actually signed with the Tigers 12 months ago, becoming the league's first full-time signing straight from the AFL for the off-season.

He will naturally be rusty after two years out of the game, but if he receives the all-clear and can get back to playing soundly, it will be a huge boost to the Tigers' hopes of rebounding after falling out in straight sets in the finals.

At 190cms, Tiziani adds much-needed height.
