Since leaving Australia in July 2014, Ty Dalitz has crossed through Asia, Europe, South and North America, sailing across the Atlantic and twice across the Pacific Ocean.
Now living in Vancouver, Canada, Mr Dalitz, 32, noted Swedish teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg had given up flight travel.

"When I decided to travel the world without flying five years ago, people thought it was a pretty weird concept and many thought it couldn't be done," he said.
"It's great to see the aviation industry beginning to be questioned in the mainstream media, through environmental activists like Greta taking a stand."
Mr Dalitz aimed to travel in a more sustainable way and reduce his carbon footprint.

"Not flying has forced me to explore places I never dreamed of visiting and countries I didn't even know previously existed," he said.
"It's the random in-between places I've enjoyed the most and where I have met some of the greatest people on my adventures."
