Wodonga police said the man was riding north on Granya Road about 6.45pm on Saturday and failed to negotiate a left-hand bend at the intersection with Murray River Road.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Police believe to motorcyclist lost control of the motorbike and collided with the metal railing.
He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Melbourne via helicopter for specialised treatment.
Police are investigating possible causes and contributing factors for the crash.
