The Craig Widdison trained galloper had been luckless in five previous starts this preparation including the Wodonga Cup late last month.
But a perfect Mathew Cahill ride ensured Wyangle ($3.10) made a welcome return to the winners circle.

"He deserved that win and the only luck the horse has been having this preparation has been bad," Widdison said.
"The horse has been flying.
"Matt took no chances and got him out nice in early in the home straight and the horse looked the winner a fair way out.
"He was suited by the long open straight and once he balanced up he was never going to get beat."
Wyangle scored by 1.5-lengths over Supreme Polarity ($2.15-fav).
