Jenkins has a well-rounded skill set with a nice balance of creativity, strong penetration and unselfish passing and prides himself on the defensive end of the floor where he was heavily recruited to LSU as a defensive combo guard.
Bandits head coach Brad Chalmers welcomes the signing of Jenkins to help provide the team with a tough-nosed player that can play both ends of the court and has a willingness to do so.
"I believe Branden is a high-calibre import with great upside, having shown consistent excellence as a scorer and as a ball stopper in his college career," Chalmers said.
"From my conversations with him, he seems like a very humble and respectful young man who is up for the challenge.
"He is known as guy who is thorough and professional in his preparation and play, and the feedback has been that we are getting a fantastic person with a huge amount of talent.
"We have conversed a lot over what our needs are here and he is 100 per cent on board and we look forward to having Branden come in and help provide not only direction and leadership on and off the court, but to play a huge role in solidifying our chances to be a very good ball club next season."
Jenkins will arrive in March to begin pre-season with the squad.
