Willis has spent the past few seasons with Henty and will add further depth to the Roos' big man stocks with his ability to play ruck or key forward.
He will join Swampie teammate Damian Cupido at John Foord Oval after the nomadic forward signed in September to help overcome the Roos' goalkicking woes.
Coach Marc Almond said the arrival of Willis will help free swingman Jarred Lane to play either on a wing or in attack.
"We needed a ruckman and he fits that bill," Almond said.
"It's no secret Chris is getting towards the end of his career but we feel he come into the side and play a significant role.
"Jarred Lane won a medal in the Riverina league as a ruckman.
"But we feel he can benefit the side more playing on a wing and rotating through the middle.
"Kaelan Bradtke is also a developing ruckman who will go through there at stages."

Willis has also had stints at North Albury, Culcairn, North Wagga and Mangoplah Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
Almond said the Roos had so far attracted good numbers over pre-season training as they look to build on this year's record of 2-16.
"We have done a solid six-week block which winds up on Thursday night," he said.
The Roos are still sweating on Trent Castles being cleared from Yackandandah.
Castles has been training at John Foord Oval and hopes to be cleared early in the new year.
Almond was hopeful of signing another midfielder.
"We are chasing another midfielder which will we know more about after Christmas," he said.
Damian and Cameron Wilson committed to the Roos in August and will add to the midfield rotations.
Damian is also an assistant coach after co-coaching Rutherglen this year.
He enjoyed another solid season to finish runner-up in the Barton medal.
