Cafe founders Sebastian and Melinda Nedziak, of Yackandandah, opened their third Gum Tree Pies shop on Ford street on Friday.
Ms Nedziak said Beechworth was the perfect spot and residents had been very supportive.
"We really love the vibe of Beechworth," she said.
"People are just so open and welcoming, we feel like we're part of the town already and it's only our first day."
After a slight delay waiting for high voltage power to be installed, the cafe was ready for business early on Friday.
"People love our products so we didn't want to change anything about it, just to provide one more place for people to get it," Ms Nedziak said.

The shop sells a variety of savoury pies, cakes, slices and coffee.

"We're really happy to be able to offer local people jobs," Ms Nedziak said.
The Ford street shop is open seven days a week from 8am to 4pm, but will be shut on Christmas Eve, Christmas day and Boxing day.
