A Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said police remained on the scene to investigate the cause of the blaze.
"It looks like it was reported about 5.45pm and then it was under control by 6.20pm," she said.

The CFA issued a watch and act notice at 6.07pm Sunday, saying the bushfire was travelling from Growlers Creek Road in a south-easterly direction.
This was later downgraded to an advice notice.
The spokeswoman said the Bright brigade attended the incident, with the site now being looked after by Forest Fire Management Victoria Bright.
