The initiative, which is aimed at helping former police officers and emergency service workers dealing with post-traumatic stress, is looking to expand in the new year with the concept gaining expressions of interest nationally.

The group is also looking to reach out to firefighters who were involved in the Black Saturday bushfires.
"From little things big things grow," retired Police Sergeant Darryl Coventry said.
"At the end of the day we're trying to use lawn bowls as a way to prevent suicide.
"We're getting people out of their homes and onto the green and making them smile."
The group will continue to meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Lavington Panthers Bowling Club.
