Next year will mark the 100th anniversary of the inauguration of the Border's most decorated swimming club.

Members past and present are taking the opportunity to document the history and reflect on all of the club's achievements.

An official celebration will be on the weekend of October 30 and 31, 2021, highlighted by an exhibition in conjunction with the Albury Library Museum of the history and highlights of the last 100 years, along with a celebration dinner for past members, parents, officials and anyone associated with the club.

The weekend will culminate in the club's annual open meet and will include presentations and activities for past members.

Club president Phil Evans is asking members of the community who have had any involvement with Albury Amatuer Swimming Club to break out their scrapbooks and photo albums.

"We would love to see your contributions to the history of the club," Evans said.

"If you have significant memorabilia that could be used in the exhibition at the Albury Library Museum, we would also like to talk to you.

"A lot of work needs to be done to prepare for the celebration and we are calling out to anyone in the community that would like to be involved with this project."

An open community meeting will be held at the SS&A Club on Wednesday, January 15 at 6.30pm.

"There are lots of jobs to do, initially with the researching and collating the 100 years of history," Evans added.
