Ellis snared 1-11 from his two overs in the 19-run win over NSW in Toowoomba.
The quick claimed 3-50 from 10 overs during the five rounds of the short-form competition.
"Fraser Ellis has done extremely well, I heard he represented Australia under 17 so I'm not sure how he fell through the crack," Victoria Country coach Ridgway said.
"He could play first grade Premier Cricket in Melbourne with any team.

"He's really team-oriented, I can't speak highly enough of him, I think he's going to have a successful career.
"And not only that, he's a terrific fellow as well."
Ellis joined Cricket Albury Wodonga outfit Tallangatta this season after coming through the Wangaratta and District ranks.
"He bowls nice and full and the top of off stump, back of a length, short of a length, he makes them drive and gets a little bit of swing," Ridgway enthused.
"He's got an unbelievable action, whoever coached him as a kid until now, they should take a lot of credit."
"He's also in terrific condition, he's lean and fit."
The 19-year-old impressed bowling late against Western Australia in the first round.
"I bowled at the death and didn't go for many runs and was happy with the way I bowled against ACT and Queensland," he said.

Wodonga co-coach Jack Craig was also a member of the winning squad, but the all-rounder had limited opportunities.
"Jack missed out two or three times, but it's difficult to change a winning combination," Ridgway said.
The five rounds of 50-over play starts today and Ridgway says he will look to utilise Craig's hard hitting with the bat.
"He's certainly in our 50-over plans, there's no doubt about his ability."
Meanwhile, Lavington's Ryan Brown (NSW) took three wickets against WA.
