Batting at number seven, Craig smashed 28 from only 19 deliveries against Queensland in Toowoomba on Tuesday.
It had been a frustrating start to the carnival for the powerhouse right-hander as it was only his second bat during the five T20 and two 50-over matches.
"The biggest issue we've got is who do we rotate in and out," coach Mark Ridgway said on Sunday after claiming the T20 title.
It was an outstanding achievement after Victoria had won only one of its 10 matches at T20 level in the two previous campaigns.
Craig's team-mate in Tallangatta all-rounder Fraser Ellis showed his batting prowess on Monday.
