Frenchman Mathieu Peytavi and Fijian-born New Zealander Nicholas Waqanisau have arrived on the Border and are eager to make an impact.
Peytavi will feature in the back line as a fullback or winger, while Waqanisau will bolster the forward pack.
Steamers coach Mat Coombes is thrilled to have the pair on board.
"Nicholas will bring a lot of energy to the forward pack and some good base work in the scrums," Coombes said.
"Nicholas is young, but he's played at a high level in New Zealand and will bring a lot of energy and skill.
"He's got good speed for a big guy.
"Mathieu will bring plenty of experience, he's played at a high level. It's a young back line this year and he'll lead them a bit.
"Between the two of them, they'll really help us out in the forwards and backs."

Peytavi worked as a police officer in France, but took the plunge and flew to Melbourne to pursue a new chapter in Australia.
A friend put him in touch with the Steamers and a player agency linked him with the Border outfit.
"I'm really happy because it was my dream to come to Australia and make an evolution in my life," Peytavi said.
"I live with a welcoming family and it's a great way for me to begin the season with the team.
"I came to Melbourne at first to earn a bit of money and learn English because I knew no words in English.
"Now I'm improving day after day.
"In France, I was a policeman on leave without pay, so for me it's the biggest experience of my life.
"One of my objectives is to win the championship and hopefully I can help with my experience in France."
Peytavi played in his home region in the south of France, before going on to play fourth division rugby.
In his younger years, he represented a Spanish national team and played test matches against French universities and Russia.
He also earned first 15 selection for the national French police team and won a championship.
Waqanisau has most recently played New Zealand premier club rugby and won the title last season, but had a desire to play overseas.
"I'm keen to give it a try out here and the goal is to bring back the cup," he said.
"This is my first time in Australia and I'm loving it.
"Hopefully I can bring some New Zealand flavour across to Australia. I'm trying to expand on my career here and this is one place I always wanted to play.
"It would be nice to chuck on that golden jersey and take down the All Blacks one day (laughs)."
