The merged outfit won just two games prior to Christmas but were without five regular starters due to commitments with harvest.

Opening batsman David Williams expects the side will have a bit more consistency at the selection table for the six rounds leading into finals and believes they can turn their fortunes around.

Brock-Burrum currently sits two wins outside the top six and faces bottom side Culcairn at Brocklesby on Saturday as they look to ignite their season.

"Harvest knocks us around a little bit. You can get blokes on Saturday not too bad, but you're not really getting them to training," Williams said.

"Hopefully we can get everyone together and have a consistent second half of the season.

"Karl Schilg hasn't played much at all, Jordan Schilg and Adam I'Anson have missed a couple, Justin Everitt did his hamstring and has had harvest and hasn't played a lot of cricket, while Keith Tallent missed a couple of games towards the end of the year.

"It's a fair chunk out of the core of our side."

Brock-Burrum scored a comfortable win against Culcairn in round one, but Williams knows his side can ill-afford any complacency.

"We might have got them on a bad day, but we're definitely not taking them lightly this time around," he said.

"We've seen their results and they're not going to be a walkover that's for sure.

"Hopefully we can make finals and who knows what happens come finals time.

"You might be in some good form or you might not be, so hopefully we're hitting some good form before finals and can try to shake up a few teams."

In the round's remaining fixtures, Walla hosts rivals Walbundrie, Lockhart faces Henty, The Rock-Yerong Creek will look to upstage defending premiers Rand, while Holbrook clashes with Osborne.
