The Hoppers picked up all three rinks on their way to a comprehensive 76-37 victory against the Spiders.
New recruit John Dawson faced his former side first up and skipped his rink to a 24-16 win against John Boyd's team.
Duane Crow's men also prevailed against Phil Slater's quartet, 23-15, picking up a seven along the way.

Henty also started the season in style with an impressive 77-46 win away to last year's finalists Lavington.

Kerry Boyle saw off Max Scanlan 26-18, while Glenn Harrison got past Darren Moore's team 24-17 to complete the clean sweep.
Culcairn had the bye and will start its campaign at home to Lavington next weekend.
In grade five, North Albury and Commercial played out a 57-all draw.
Culcairn produced a 72-51 result against Howlong.
Henty edged out Oaklands in a thriller, 60-58, while Walla held off Rand, 61-54, away from home.
Grades four, six and seven all start next weekend.
