A watch and act message for Buffalo Creek, Merriang and Merriang South has replaced the evacuate now warning issued at 3.47am while another watch and act message for Buffalo River and Nug Nug replaced the earlier emergency warning.
Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning said the Abbeyard bushfire was still active and the situation could change at any time.
"You must monitor conditions and be ready to act," the warning said.
"Fire crews are actively working on the fire and protecting private property."
