A Table Top Rural Fire Brigade spokesman said the vehicle, which was towing a caravan, apparently lost control and ended up in the median strip.
NSW Ambulance attended the incident, but the man and woman did not need to be taken to hospital.
The brigade received the call-out at 11.52am, with NSW Police also on scene.
Both the car and caravan were damaged and had to be towed away, with highway traffic reduced to one northbound lane throughout the incident.
The six fire brigade members spent nearly two hours on site.

The incident occurred about 12.30pm at Table Top, about 1.5 kilometres before the Olympic Highway turn-off, involving a car towing a caravan.
Emergency services are still at the scene and drivers are advised to reduce their speed and exercise caution.
