"One of the biggest things it's done is reduce the bushfire risk.
"It'll help the trees, the plants and it'll put a bit of water in the ground at least."
Mr Paramore said with no crops sown the rain, while extremely welcome, didn't have a huge impact on farmers, though could encourage them to sow crops early.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It'll help to fallow paddocks, and people hoping to sow early for grazing," he said.
"It may well be if we keep getting a bit of rain people might look to sow grazing crops in February to March.
"I'm sure the people who have had fires will be looking to try and sow something.
"It's really too early to seriously sow, it'll get hot again, but the rain is a step in the right direction.
"Hopefully we get some follow up too."
