Both Super Rugby outfits boast plenty of international experience, including captains Allan Alaalatoa and Dane Haylett-Petty.
Alaalatoa will lead the Brumbies for the first time after being appointed captain on Tuesday.

"To be alongside some of the great names in the past is a real honour," he said.
"I've got a great group behind me for support and to help me along the way and I'm looking forward to what we can do this year."
The Brumbies enter the campaign as defending champions of the Australian conference and won't be settling for anything less this year.
"That belief starts with how we started the year off. We've been over in Newcastle for a bit and it was a great way to connect as a Brumbies family," Alaalatoa said.
"We're looking to continue to build throughout the year and achieve the goals we've set out.
"It's been great to come up here and have an open day to meet some of the young kids and the Albury community. Most importantly, I can't wait to see the fans out here for the game.
"It is a trial, but it's going to be a good learning curve for us both. It's a good game to have against a quality side."
Haylett-Petty and the Rebels camp are also raring to go.
"For most of us it will be the first game of our season," Haylett-Petty said.
"We've been working hard putting things in place and we'll get a chance to see where we're at one week out from round one.
"We've got a great rivalry against the Brumbies.
"They're obviously a very good team, they played finals last year and we got over them twice last year.
"It's always a really good challenge and we should set ourselves up really well by playing a really good team like them."
It's the classy fullback's first visit to Albury, but he's already been impressed with what he's seen.
"The facilities are great, the hospitality has been great and the field is in great nick," Haylett-Petty added.
With Fox Sports choosing to launch the 2020 Super Rugby season hours before the trial match, even more eyes will be on the region.
Albury will be front and centre during a one-hour telecast when host Greg Clark interviews the Rebels and Brumbies coaches and captains live from Greenfield Park.
Kick-off for the first trial is at 3.45pm, with the main game at 6.15pm.
The starting lineups are as follows:
Brumbies: Scott Sio, Folau Fainga'a, Allan Alaalatoa (captain), Murray Douglas, Darcy Swain, Rob Valenti, Tom Cusack, Pete Samu, Joe Powell, Noah Lolesio, Tom Wright, Irae Simone, Tevita Kuridrani, Solomone Kata and Tom Banks.
