After consulting with Albury Wodonga Health and the Friends of Nolan House, the City2City committee stated in addition to supporting the redevelopment of the Nolan House courtyard, 20 per cent of entry fees will be donated to the Border Trust Bushfire Relief fund.
City2City chair Michelle Hudson said the community had been directly impacted by the recent bushfires.
"The City2City has a great track record of bringing the community together to generate significant funds to improve the health and well-being of Border communities," he said.
"The feeling across the committee and AWH was that if we have an opportunity to contribute to communities and individuals impacted by the recent bushfires, we should absolutely do so."
Lucie Shanahan, the executive director of mental health services at AWH, said she was thrilled that both its mental healthcare facility Nolan House as well as the mental health and well-being of local bushfire impacted communities would benefit from funds raised.
Race participants are also able to donate to the Border Trust Bushfire Relief Fund and/or Nolan House when they register at www.city2city.org.au
