The comment was made when Samantha Joy Delphin appeared in the Albury Local Court dock on Tuesday morning.

Richard Funston told defence lawyer Tim Hemsley that Delphin, 35, of Albury, was facing "serious allegations".

"And the allegation is supplying drugs, and a significant quantity of (drugs)," he said.

"(There's) something even more galling, isn't there Mr Hemsley, about a person who is not using at all and you get to the allegation that she's supplying?

"It's more than 50 grams."

Prosecutor Sergeant Shannon Lewis said police strongly opposed bail for Delphin.

That was based on several reasons, including "the amount of drugs found" and concerns about Delphin re-offending while on bail.

Delphin, who fronted court in a pink singlet and dark gym tights and with her blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail, was arrested on Monday evening.

That was after officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command pulled over her Suzuki SX4 on the Hume Highway, near Borella Road, at 8.30pm.

Police have alleged that a search of the vehicle uncovered cocaine, MDMA or ecstasy, a mobile phone and "drug paraphernalia".

Delphin was then arrested and taken to Albury police station to be charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug at greater than an indictable but less than a commercial quantity and two of possessing a prohibited drug.

The charges relate to allegations that Delphin was in possession of 63.5 grams of cocaine and 10 capsules of MDMA weighing three grams.

Delphin was refused police bail on Monday.

But she was released on Tuesday after Mr Funston decided to grant her conditional bail to appear again on February 18.

While the court was told Delphin was not a drug user, Mr Funston nevertheless agreed to a proposed bail condition from police that she abstain from any drug use aside from that prescribed by a GP.

Police said related inquiries were continuing.
