We've had royalty, prime ministers, sports stars and loads of high quality music acts in our part of the world in the past few decades but all of them will be trumped on Wednesday night when Elton John performs at A Day On The Green at All Saints.

It seems surreal that one of the biggest - if not "the" biggest - pop stars the world has ever seen will perform in little old Wahgunyah in a paddock just up the road from the Uncle Tobys factory.
If you'd said was going to happen 18 months ago, people would've thought you had crocodile rocks in your head.
Understandably, the sense of anticipation around the impending arrival of Sir Elton in the North East has been immense.
And not only will we witness a once-in-a-lifetime performance, the concert will also provide a much-needed cash boost for our region, injecting up to $2.75 million into the local economy.
On the back of the disastrous Upper Murray bushfires, whose smoke forced the cancellation of the Cold Chisel show at the same venue, Wednesday night's showcase is proof that the North East is still standing (yeah, yeah, yeah).
All Saints Estate chief executive Eliza Brown said up to half of the people at Wednesday night's show would not have visited the Rutherglen region before.
That's a lot of people who will need to fill up their cars with fuel. Count the headlights on the Murray Valley Highway.

More than 11,000 concert-goers will be thinking Wednesday night's all right, all right with promoter Michael Newton telling The Border Mail "I know it will be the greatest show ever in the region".
"From the research we've done and the numbers councils have provided, we know that the spend per head outside the concert in the region equates to $250-per-head," he said.
"That's what is spent on accommodation, restaurants, bars, food, and whatever else people do while they're there."
So, Sir Elton, after the month we've had, we hope you don't mind, that we put down in words, how wonderful it is to have you in our part of the world.
