Officers believe that about 10.45am, a white Holden commodore travelling southbound towards Beechworth on Beechworth-Wodonga Road hit two cars parked near the Southside Terrace complex.
A white ute was hit to the back, which was pushed into a Hyundai wagon, and both cars were moderately damaged.
The white commodore will have extensive damage to its front and a left-hand mirror missing; anyone who saw the incident or has information should call Wodonga Police on (02) 6049 2600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Just as officers were finishing up at the scene on Beechworth-Wodonga Road, they were called to an unrelated two-car crash on the intersection of High and South streets.
Two women in their 50s were involved in the incident, in which a white Kia hatchback and a blue Hyundai Getz collided.
Investigations are continuing but police believe the Hyundai failed to give way, when turning down South Street from High Street, and was collected by the Kia.
The Hyundai ended up on the Kia's bonnet.
The women were treated by paramedics but it's understood they have only sustained minor injuries.
Wodonga highway patrol Leading Senior Constable Paul Marshall said Wodonga SES were on scene to deal with any hazards and assist with traffic direction.
"Due to the nature of the crash, in that you had a vehicle underneath the other, it's dangerous, and that's why we needed the fully shut the intersection down," he said.
"We were thankful for driver behaviour; everybody seemed to figure what was happening and followed instruction."
