But leaders in Canberra insist the state has been informed.

Annastacia Palaszczuk says the Morrison government has failed to share international flight records that would reveal the locations of Chinese travellers who might be of concern.

While it's up to the states to trace passengers after they land, Ms Palaszczuk says the federal government needs to release that information first.

She also wants the federal government to take over the job of tracing passengers.

"We need to know where Chinese nationals are, people who have travelled from Hubei province, where they are currently located in Queensland," she told reporters in Brisbane on Friday.

Passengers travelling on international flights are required to complete a travel card with their contact details and where they are staying.

The federal government has savaged Ms Palaszczuk over her claims it has withheld information, with Health Minister Greg Hunt saying Queensland has been part of daily briefings.

"Any information we have, we have shared and will share," Mr Hunt said.

He said the details of all passengers from a Tiger Airways flight that carried two Chinese coronavirus victims from Melbourne to the Gold Coast earlier this week were given to Queensland on Thursday.

Those people are being contacted by Queensland officials.

Hundreds of people who travelled on the same plane but different flights are also being contacted by Tiger Airways as a precaution.

A deep clean of the aircraft was carried out after the first positive test.

Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said the risk facing other passengers who travelled on the plane was low.

But Ms Palaszczuk wants the details of everyone who arrived in Queensland on flights from China, including from outside the virus epicentre Hubei province, in the past 14 days.

She said Queensland has asked for that information but it has not been provided.

"We do not have that information. We need that information," she said.

"We know now that a lot of cases are coming from outside Hubei province in China itself so we must know where else these people are staying in Queensland and in Australia."

Ms Palaszczuk has written to Prime Minister Scott Morrison to express her concerns.

Dr Young has asked the federal health department to collect relevant information from Border Force officials and hand it over. But she is yet to receive it.

"The Commonwealth's role in this is giving us the information so that we can go and do that contact tracing," Dr Young said on Friday.

"I would be very grateful if I could get more information from the commonwealth government about people that we then could go and speak to.

"That would be very helpful to us in terms of containing that virus."

Mr Hunt said Queensland was the chair of the Communicable Diseases Network of Australia committee, with state officials present at a string of recent meetings.

And he said the premier's own department was part of a national crisis committee hook-up on Thursday.

Meanwhile, there's no sign of illness in China's women's soccer team, who will remain holed up in the Westin Brisbane hotel until Wednesday to ensure they are not carrying the virus.

Queensland Health has told the hotel no guests or associates are suspected of having the coronavirus, and that there is little risk of hotel guests and team members catching it.
