The mortgagee's auction was conducted by agents PJ Murphy on behalf of the ANZ Bank on Saturday with the property selling to operators of a Beechworth Road business planning to relocate to the site.
The property at 165 Lawrence Street has been used for commercial purposes in recent times.
Agent Leon Kowski confirmed the property sold "well above" the reserve.
It follows a spike late last year in central Wodonga real estate which included the sale of a High Street property consisting of two shops for $585,000 at auction.
A former butchery on the opposite side of High Street also sold for an undisclosed price in mid-December.
There are two more Wodonga CBD properties being auctioned in coming weeks.
Bonnici & Associates First National is selling a vacant block in Smythe Street on Saturday followed by a three-bedroom home in Tower Street on February 22.
