Milidrag played alongside the Roar's star English import from last year, Mitchell Speechley-Price, who was instrumental in getting him across.
Cobram coach Bill Puckett said it's essentially a like-for-like replacement.
"Mitchell is staying back home, he wants to see how far he can push after a successful season back in the English game, which is fair enough," Puckett said.
"With his recommendation, he knew a lad he played in Canada with before he moved here.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"He's a similar player to Mitch, a tall, powerful lad, who is very direct.
"We want to make sure that the lads we bring out are good people and personalities.
"We had a few chats to make sure he's going to be committed to the club, giving back in terms of coaching and helping out the juniors.
"He should be a good asset to the club on and off the field.
"We're eligible to have two imports, but we've just gone with the one.
"We don't want to bring in too many because we have such a good bond and a strong core of local juniors coming through.
"We wanted some sort of help and guidance with one import, so that's where Stefan comes in, but aside from that we've kept the same squad."
Cobram finished sixth in the league last season before eliminating Albury United in week one of the cup finals and falling to Myrtleford in extra time in the semi-final.
