John Atkinson has volunteered service for four years and said border programming was on a hiatus from September while the organisation moved into its new David Street digs, but has been back on air since January 20.
Now they're settled in the new studio, Mr Atkinson said, the service is looking for new volunteers.
"It's very rewarding for me," he said.
"As a volunteer you know you're helping people with vision impairment and there's also the social side, I enjoy the contact with other volunteers."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Atkinson said volunteers provide a vital service to people with vision impairment ensuring they stay connected to the community by reading local newspapers aloud and providing Border-based programming.
"It's a wonderful thing we can do for people with vision impairment," he said.
He said the organisation provides training for volunteers and people could commit as little as two hours every fortnight.
