ON SONG
Opera's favourite mezzo Sally-Anne Russell will head a lineup of classical musicians at the Albury Fire-aid Gala Concert. Russell will join violinist Kaori Sparks and some of Albury's finest musicians in a concert of sparkling solos, duets and ensembles. Russell has performed in more than 20 countries in 70 operatic roles with greats like Luciano Pavarotti, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Bryn Terfel, Sir Andrew Davis, Simone Young, Richard Bonynge and Sumi Jo. ABC's Gaye Pattison will compere the event. All proceeds will help fire-impacted communities and Rotary Club Belvoir Wodonga/Blaze Aid-rebuilding fences at Corryong. Tickets $20 at the door.
