Wodonga Raiders' batsman Ben Stewart will miss Saturday's home clash against St Patrick's after surgery on a broken finger.

Stewart had the digit pinned in Melbourne on Thursday.
"I did it in January when I was fielding against North Albury (in second grade) when the ball hit me on the finger," he said.

While the injury wasn't serious, it will still stop the veteran from tackling the Patties.
This will be St Pat's most important game of the season.
Last season's preliminary finalists have won only one match since round three.
