Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer launched its seventh gala at Albury's The River Deck Cafe, Noreuil Park, this week.
Ten Border representatives from the media, sport, business and emergency services will learn a dance routine and perform it live while raising at least $3000 each for Cancer Council NSW.
Paired with a dance teacher from Albury-Wodonga and allocated a specific genre, the stars will begin their training in March.

The gala night will be held on Friday, May 1, at Albury Entertainment Centre.
Cancer Council community relations co-ordinator Brianna Carracher said she was excited to see the results of the event's seventh year.
"During this time, the community has raised over $487,000 for local Cancer Council initiatives," she said.
"Funds raised help support Cancer Council's life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and local support programs like our local Transport to Treatment for people affected by cancer."
The judging panel includes last year's winner Drew Cameron, Melbourne studio director Jeremy Garner, Australian Latin champion Alarna Donovan Morris and Foxtrot Dance Studio's Kerry Baumer.
