It hosted two clearance sales this week on the Gateway Village site.
The SAC announced earlier this month it would close permanently due to structural damage in its leased building.
"Due to continuing uncertainty about the implications of the planned remedial works in our beautiful old building, we have decided to give the keys back to council so they can do the necessary repairs," a Facebook post said.

The SAC will maintain an online presence; Replenish Store will relocate to a new location yet to be announced.
A Wodonga Council spokesperson said rectification works had now been done and the building was deemed structurally safe.
It is considering future options for the site.
