The Greater Western Sydney academy member will move to the Border for university and is set to line-up in defence at Bunton Park.
Whyte, 18, played in Marrar's back-to-back premierships as a 16 and 17-year-old.
"We got wind Adam was moving to Albury for university and took it from there with some conversations," coach Isaac Muller said.
"We have a bit of a footprint in the Wagga leagues now after recruiting a few players last year and we think Adam will do well.
"He's trained a few times already while travelling and it will be good to have him on a permanent basis."
Whyte made the Farrer league representative side last season but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
North Albury has recruited Jack Cullen, Isaac Walton, Jackson Weidemann, Mitchell Wadley and Jackson Casey from the Wagga region.
